Inspired by vintage recipe books and warm summer afternoons, Austin’s first fabric collection, BBQ Block Party, combines his love of throwback design and hand-lettering. It’s a celebration of backyard cookouts, fireworks, and the traditional all-American get together! These prints are perfect for anything from aprons, to oven mitts, potholders, and even hand towels! 

Austin Chapman is a Kansas City based designer and illustrator with a healthy interest in classic design motifs popular from the 50’s to the 70’s. He finds inspiration by digging through old books and catalogs and hunting for antiques at yard sales and thrift stores. 

His funky and colorful illustrations depict everything from friendly farm animals to ghoulish monsters, but despite the subject they always have a sense of humor.
